I had a problem in that my bank would not accept your password. It required at least one letter or one number in a minimum of six digits in the password. Has this problem been fixed or is it planned to fix it in the future? Thanks

passwordmaker will meet (exceed actually) those requirements with default settings (i.e. default character set). i'd bet the problem you're experiencing is more likely the bank system doesn't like special characters. change the character set to use only numbers, upper case letters, and lower case letters and i bet it will work fine.

I think he means the digit and letter must be in a precise position in the password, no?

perhaps; i guess the original post could be interpreted either way. i know a couple of sites i use break if i use special characters in the password, so i change the character set to make things happy-happy, joy-joy again :)

Hi Keith,

I think your question has already been answered, but you might be interested in voting for the New Character Set Selection Interface Feature Request, by replying to the Feature Request List thread. You get a total of five votes, so be sure to vote for any others that interest you as well.

I think keith383 had the problem that I had too in the beginning. If the character set is reduced to only letters and numbers, there's a 'chance' that the generated password will not include any numbers. Especially if it's only six or eight digits.

There're several ways around:

Use a number as prefix or suffix. (this will fix it for every site)
Increase the length of the password.
Use a modifier for that site, until the password shows a number.
Put more numbers into the character set.
Do anything else that lets PasswordMaker generate a new password.

Ooops, actually, Keiths request wouldn't be fulfilled by the New Character Set Selection Interface Feature Request, but it would be fulfilled by the Password Template Filter request. Added his vote for this one...
