Is there a reason that 1.3.3 and 0.8.7 will generate different passwords with the same settings?

Hi mich,

All versions generate the same passwords. Are you sure the settings are the same? Usually they character sets are different.

They were the same everywhere I could find them. It was just a general question.

Somewhere, a buggy default character was used, and was recently fixed. That could be the issue you're facing. Otherwise they should be the same.

The bug miquelfire is referring to was that backslash was not included in the default characters for a few versions. If that is the issue you're facing, simply remove the backslash from the character set and you should be fine.

Thanks!
