periodic change to passwords
« on: July 17, 2006, 06:15:21 PM »
Thanks for the great plugin. Here's a problem that I'm sure others have come across.

I have couple of sites that require periodic change in passwords. Is there a way to allow password manager plugin to configure to solve this problem? One idea would be to add some sort of expiration date so that a given password would be valid until that date. This indirectly means that the plugin should factor in the expiration date in its password generation alogrithm. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Right now, using accounts, you would edit the modifier (Used to be called counter) option to adjust for this. You would pick some method to figure what to put in the field (you can use a date if you want, or you can can count up from some number)

Since the field is just another line of text, you can make up whatever method you want to for this.
