cannot add an avatar to my profile

I am having a hard time linking my avatar in the User CP. It cuts of the "pg" at the end of myimage.jpg. I think this has to do with a cap of the # of characters in the URL. I don't want to upload the file, I already have it on my server...

What's the URL to the file? # shouldn't be in the filename in the first place anyway.

He didn't say # is in the filename. He used that character as a substitute for the word "number."

Felipe, please post the URL. By the way, you could always use tinyurl.com to reduce the length of the URL.

Ah! I reread the first post.

If the length of characters have anything to do with it, tinyurl (or anything like it really) may not help because of the simple fact, the actual url must end in whatever is allowed to be an extension on the forum's settings.

Then I recommend using mod_rewrite to achieve a smaller URL for the file on your web server. Alternatively, mirror the file at a place like imageshack.us.
