Feature request

When going to a site that doesn't exist in the passwordmaker list it uses the default setting which it should use.
I usually right click and select Open Passwordmaker.
It would be helpful if there was a way to create a new account from the main screen in passwordmaker. For example: Put a button underneath the Copy Generated Password to Clipboard that allows you to create an account with the settings used.

I hope I made myself clear, if not let em know and I'll try to explain it in a different way :)

Welcome to the PasswordMaker forums Peter.  This has already been requested as:

Ability to create a new account for the current URL via context menu while in a password field

You may want to goto the Feature Request List and vote for it.

Moreover, if a context-menu item isn't sufficient and you simply must have a button somewhere, please let us know.

How about an option to make ALT~ open and create a new account (if one doesn't exist for the site)?   That way I'd always do ALT~ and I'd either get the password for that site, or be ready to set up the new account.

(This presumes the user wants custom accounts at all sites - as I do - otherwise having ALT~ open the new account would be annoying for sites at which the user wanted to use the default settings...)

Question for those who want this feature: when creating a new account with the context-menu, should the account be created automatically (with a timstamp for name/description), or should the account settings dialog prompt you for that information and anything else you care to enter?

Maybe an option so that both can be done? I might want the dialog to appear, but it may be too annoy for some users.

Hmm... I'll think about it. At a minimum, a dialog has to appear to prompt you into which folder you'd like the new account created.

I'd vote for an option to prompt, but with the default being the name of the site (Page Title) (or a choice between the Page Title and a Date/Time stamp), and only fall back to date/time stamp of the Page Title is unavailable (is it ever 'unavailable'?)...

Heh - but what do you think about using the Page Title instead?

How about an option listed under Global Setting?

Definitely an option though...

Title or page URL.... doesn't matter to me. URL might be better since not all websites use <title> consistently.

That's 3 people asking to make it an option. OK. Option it is.
