Wow, that's awesome. How did you find it? Can you add it to the wiki at passwordmaker.org?

Oddly enough, I found it because of the Wiki. We need to document how to add editions it seems.

miquel, can you rename the title of this topic from "Adroid" to "Android" in case someone searches the forums for "Android"? I cannot see where to edit it or I'd do it myself.

Hi,

The author of the Android edition has graciously agreed to rename his app from "Apoma" to "PasswordMaker." However, he's asked for some icons. He wants 48x48 (png, transparent background) and 72x72 (png, transparent background). I cannot find where we store the ring icon. I can make the images from PNG or SVG, but does anyone know where to get them? All of the ones I use in the Firefox extension are too small. Scaling them larger will distort.

thanks,
eric

Images folder of the Desktop Edition has some decent sized images.

I recently got a Motorola Atrix that runs Android, so I ported my iPhone app to the Android platform. You can download it here:

But FireFox is available as an Android app. Any thought of adding direct support for PasswordMaker as a FireFox Add-on under Android?

As is, PasswordMaker won't work on Firefox Android. PasswordMaker needs a UI make over to fit on that small screen.

I suppose you're right on that count, but I'm not sure the whole UI needs to be present on an Android version of the add-on.

I'd be satisfied if I could manage my settings using the existing app on a platform like Windows or Linux (which I'm doing now anyway), then export the settings via the .RDF file to an Android version of the add-on. It would basically just have to be the "Coolkey" part of the app.

So far as I can tell, none of the Android ports so far can import an RDF file. Or am I missing something?

None of them can because the format is undocumented, and the way the other apps work don't line up with the Firefox version.

Almost every port made by someone else uses the on-line version as a guide.

But PasswordMaker is open-source with a GPL license, right? Is the SourceForge code respository up to date? What does the build environment for the FireFox add-on look like?

I might be willing to take a crack at this in my copious spare time... Most of the UI just gets jettisoned under the approach I'm suggesting anyway.

Yes, the SVN repo is up to date. I don't know what tools Eric uses to develop PasswordMaker, but you do need to have Ant installed to compile it.

And we like to use LGPL for the license.
