I've submitted 1.7.8 to addons.mozilla.org for approval. It supports Firefox 4. There are no changes between 1.7.8b1 and 1.7.8 except version numbers.

Changed the install.rdf to allow installation with Beta4, which worked. Found that Ctrl+~ does not open Password Maker, although using Tools/PWM/Open PWM does open PWM.

Never mind: I installed the beta, rather than release version, while trying to figure out two other problems, thereby creating a third one.

(Actually, there are four problems, but I cannot fix the one that is me.)

Which syllable of "never mind" don't you understand?

Of course it works: As I wrote, I had installed the wrong version from my stash of Beta4-compliant extensions, and when I realized that, and installed the proper version, well, as things were then working correctly, I told readers to ignore the earlier part of my message, as in the expression "never mind."
