Blank entries in Autocomplete
« on: December 01, 2008, 10:03:00 AM »
Just found that when using PasswordMaker that it is causing the autocomplete to have 2 blank entries in some cases in Firefox. I'm not sure if they are actually blank entries or if the autocomplete part is just expanding or what. The following was done on a brand new profile, only PasswordMaker installed:

Then if you uninstall PasswordMaker, it goes back to normal:

If you want to reproduce, just go to paypal.com, then type in asdf/asdf for email/password, then when you get to the next screen, double click in the email textbox. It happens on other sites too.

Umm... why would you want to use both autocomplete (in Firefox) and PWM anyway? Seems like they would conflict in many ways...

I've just always had autocomplete on. But regardless, PWM seems to be screwing around with it somehow.

Well, like I said... they are both trying to do the same thing, so it shouldn't be surprising.

Just disable autocomplete in Firefox...

Hi,

I've known about this problem for a long time. There is no known fix. Some other firefox addons exhibit this behavior, too.
