Feature Requests (Really, this time)
« on: July 26, 2005, 07:15:14 PM »
Moved to here!

Okay.  Let's hope I don't screw up this time.

I'm positive I missed something so please reply in this forum (preferably in a new topic) if there is something you want and isn't on the poll.  I will add it.  If you want clarification of a feature (i.e. what is it, what will it do) reply and I or Eric will try to explain it.

You can vote for up to 3 of these!  This is to try to avoid  6-way ties as was in the last poll.

To note:  The roboform feature (where stuff other than passwords is automatically filled in) is the #1 priority for Eric right now.  As he is busy working on it as we speak(type/read/whatever), there is no point in adding it to this poll.

How do I vote again? At the bottom of the poll it says 'You have already voted in this poll', and I can't figure out how to vote again.

Thanks

Sorry, tanstaafl.  There would be no way to allow you to re-vote.  Would it be ethical to create a new member?

Some seems to have voted only twice, off-setting the one vote you did.   Was that you?

You could always tally votes through PMs (personal messages), although that might get annoying.

I'm removing the following due to PM 0.7.3 beta1:

Double-clicking the account tree to opens account settings dialog
Right-click (context menu) in the account tree to open the settings

I'm starting to think we may have to create a make-shift poll like that.  That way, when you implement stuff and I remove it, those people can vote again.

It wouldn't be hard to do.  Just edit a post in a closed topic whenever I (or you) get PM'ed.  But it would get annoying.

Another idea: create one topic per request. Once the request is released, the topic can be closed. People can vote by replying directly to the request. If a new topic is made by someone which is the same as a previous request, we can merge it into the original. What do you think?

That sounds good too.

[QUOTE[Sorry, tanstaafl. There would be no way to allow you to re-vote.
Ok... well, I was just trying to cast my three votes per this comment in the beginning of this thread:

If we can only vote once, I guess that's ok, although I do like Erics idea of a separate topic for each request

I don't think so. I did vote once in the original poll, and then again in the new one, but don't think I did again...

Yeah, it seems to be getting buggy.

1)Features keep disappearing.  Eric, this seems to be caused by this:

...
Poll Option: 10
Poll Option: 11
Poll Option: 12
Poll Option: 10 ( Unused )
Poll Option: 11 ( Unused )
Poll Option: 12 ( Unused )

It saves the previous entries in the poll options 10-12 sections, and yet when you click "edit this poll" it saves the entries in the (unused) spots.  I've been trying to remember to transfer everything from the first to the second, but apparently, I keep forgetting.

2)Votes keep disappearing
There used to be 11 votes, now there are nine.  This is probably related to the previous error-thingy.

I'll try to correct it, but it may be too late.

I think, Eric, that we will have to try some of your suggestions.

OK, let's close this topic. Tyrantmizar, can you create a new, pinned topic without a poll? It should just be a list of feature requests. People can submit their votes by replying to the topic, assigning their 3 votes (or however they have) as they like. We can tally the votes at the top of the thread like I do in the donations page

What do you think?

Can do.

You'll have to close this topic, I haven't got the ability.
