Title: passwordmaker.zip
Post by: Felipe on January 09, 2006, 10:11:42 PM
I downloaded the javascript password maker found here (https://passwordmaker.org/downloads/javascript.html). On the top of the page, it offers me to download passwordmaker.zip again, but I already have it. Is this link really necessary? It could be, if I required an update.

Also, there are some links that point to files not found in the zip file. They are dead links. There seems to be little point in having links to files that do not exist.

Thanks,
Felipe

edit: I'm running FX 1.5, and have also installed the FX PWM extension.

Hi Felipe,

I can fix those problems as soon as I get a chance. Alternatively, do you know HTML? If you fix them, I will post your changes and mark you as a contributor...

Regards,
Eric

Eric:
Sounds like a great idea. I'll get on it. I'll be terribly busy this month, and I can't work on it yet. I can certainly get started in February, if no one beats me to it, that is.

edit: i like having the opportunity to contribute to pwm. ty Eric.

Fixed as of 2.1 BTW, but that extra link is still there...

I can take of the extra link rather quickly. Thanks anyway, Felipe. And miquellfire is correct: 2.1 of the download removed all of the broken links.

If you're interested in contributing anyway, we definitely can use the help. Do you prefer HTML/Javascript? That page needs the ability to populate the "characters" field with the same drop-down list in the PasswordMaker extension. How about WAP/WML? We need a version (already have the PHP backend to generate the passwords) of that for mobile users who don't have java...

There are other needs too. Let me know.
