Hi Steve,

I'm not sure why you want to use an old PasswordMaker (the newer versions produce the same passwords as the old versions so long as you change "Characters" to 0123456789abcdef), but I've heard that Mr. Tech's Local Install (http://www.mrtech.com/extensions/local_install/index.html) extensions allows you to fixup extensions so Firefox doesn't block their installation.

Quixin, you've done this before, right?

Yes, Its very simple,  Install Mr Tech's Local Install 4.0.  You can download it here (http://www.mrtech.com/extensions/local_install/index.html).  Once its installed, restart your Firefox obviously.  Now you have the ability to override the maxVersion check.  For extensions that are already installed (Labeled “Disabled - not compatible with Firefox 1.5") you can right click and choose "Make Compatible".

For installing new extensions, Attempt to install the extensions you want.  On the "Software Installation" window, you will see a box at the bottom that says "Override 'maxVersion' compatibility checking".  Put a check mark in that box and you should be able to install.

Before 0.7, leading zeros was not trimmed. Or did you forget that?

Eh, wasn't that only for MD-5 and HMAC-MD5 algorithms?

edit: I just remembered the original PasswordMaker only supported MD-5 :)
