Title: Feature Request: make PM work in the moz sidebar
Post by: popmonkey on November 17, 2005, 07:49:43 PM
currently you can't use the coolkey or context menu in the firefox/mozilla sidebars.  it would be nice to hook into those.  there are some sidebars that require login (KWiki sidebar, backflip buddy are examples).

Lo prio, but it would be nice.  sidebars get no love.

Good idea, popmonkey. Tyrantmizar, can you add this to the feature request list?

Thanks,
Eric

Added to the FRL.

Are you sure this is possible?  In all the sidebars I've seen (mainly All-In-One Sidebar (http://firefox.exxile.net/)) no extension works in the sidebar.

I'm talking Firefox, btw

No, I'm not sure it's possible. No doubt it will take some research. If the research turns out that it's impossible or next-to-impossible, we can move the feature request to the "The Supremely Difficult Features" sublist...

i'm guessing tyr is right, i know i haven't seen anything work in the sidebar that works elsewhere, including things like view source (even if you go to This Frame > View Frame Source).

MonkeyMan, can you give me the download links for KWiki sidebar or backflip buddy or whichever sidebar you'd like to see this work? The first step is for me to flip through their source and see what can be hooked.

I searched on KWiki but only found some weird-ass stuff, nothing about firefox/mozilla extensions.

edit: is this (http://www.wikalong.org/) it??
