Title: Use Same Password

I want to use the same password for more than one site. Is this possible?
Yes! Let's suppose you want a Yahoo! account to use the same password as a gMail account. Go to the Advanced Options dialog and create a new account. In the When URL Contains field, type yahoo.com. In the Use This URL field, type gMail.com. That's it!

This didn't seem to work for me.

The reason I noticed was the difference in password length.

I set up one account to use a length of 16 with "When URL Contains": http://www.asdf.com (http://www.asdf.com) "Use This URL": http://www.asdf.com (http://www.asdf.com).

I then set up a second account and did not edit anything except the two URL fields-->"When URL Contains": http://www.randomwebsite.com (http://www.randomwebsite.com) "Use This URL": http://www.asdf.com (http://www.asdf.com).

At http://www.randomwebsite.com (http://www.randomwebsite.com) I used Alt ` to enter the password. It entered an 8 character password instead of the 16 I expected.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to make all the password-generating fields the same as well?

Hi David,

Yes, you need to set the password length field of the second account to 16. In fact, as you pointed out, all the other fields should match, too. I'll update the FAQ question to say that.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Eric

Thanks for the response Eric!

It wasn't really an inconvenience, just wanted to make sure I understood what I was supposed to be doing :)
