Since all the other Chrome threads seem to get ignored.
Chrome now has robust extensions, and indeed already has one password 'generator' as an extension so far and I expect more will be coming soon.
When can we expect to see PasswordMaker put out a proper Chrome extension? It would be GREAT as chrome doesn't protect saved passwords AT ALL so I auto-gen every time...but going to the web page/JS/bookmarklet is a PITA.

The extension there now: http://www.chromeextensions.org/utilities/quick-password-generator/
Thanks.

How is the bookmarklet a PITA? Unless you want to have support for saving the master password or something (which in of itself is hard to do securely actually)

I'd like the same sort of support I have in Firefox where I have it all hotkeyed and easy to use.
Bookmarklet not so easy to use.
Why is there resistance to a proper Chrome Extension? I can understand back before when they didn't really have a system in place, but they definitely do now. It seems this 'Abine' thing doesn't work with Chrome either...so either I need to dump Chrome, get passwordmaker in it as an extension, or change my password hashing scheme to something that supports Chrome. Id prefer #2 :)

It's not we're against it, as someone is working on a port actually. Does Chrome extensions support hotkeys? If so, then cool, that port needs to be done quicker!

I have extensions installed that use key. Alt-F/Alt-W for flashblock, 'v' for google reader background open, etc. I assume those are 'generic' hotkeys although I have not looked into the API as of yet so I cannot say with 100% certainty.
ETA on the extension?

I'm not the one making. I already told you everything I know about it.

Who is working on the port then so we can ask them?

Jeesh... maybe its a language thing, but you sure do sound like a little kid saying "I want my cake and I want it N-O-W!!!"
If you like PWM so much, just use Firefox.

Firefox is not an option, which is why I am asking.
What is wrong with asking for something that was posted in September as saying 'coming soon'. I believe I have been proper in my requests, it is the answers that have been lacking in information and politeness.
Just trying to get an ETA or someone to talk to about it...? Which seems to be an issue apparently.

Do you have an email for him? There are a lot of Matt Perrys in the world ;)
When I google for Matt Perry this is the main result: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Perry

Look on chromium.org. That's all I know. Eric was the one who brought in the news of a Chrome version.

This appears to be an unofficial PM extension.

None of the 'Other Editions' have external links - should we link to this and add it to the wiki?

Might as well.
