Title: Saving setting with localy stored page
Post by: seth on July 18, 2006, 10:36:13 PM
I have downloaded a copy of online version for use with Safari. Instructions state I should be able to save all the settings. Yet if I close the page and reload everything is lost. I am not doing anything to block cookies. I see the same problem with omniweb.
os x 10.4.6

Safari and Omniweb may be blocking local cookies anyway, for whatever reason that may not be apparent right now. As I don't have a Mac, I can only guess

If it's like IE, then there may be zones you can set up and local pages are not in a zone that allow cookies (or Javascript from saving them)

Seth, when you use the online version here (http://passwordmaker.org/passwordmaker.html), does it save settings? If so, then your browser isn't saving cookies for local pages. I don't know how to configure Safari to save cookies for local pages, but you can always host the page on a web server of your own... or search google on how to get Safari to write/store cookies for local files.

Eric
