Title: Webroot Software Support Does Not Work with PWM
Post by: John Liebson on April 19, 2007, 05:06:23 PM
http://support.webroot.com/ics/support/def....asp?deptID=776 (http://support.webroot.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=776)

Two boxes to fill in there; as far as I can tell, Password Maker does not recognize either one for Advanced Auto-Populate.

I suspect the problem is due to the way the page is constructed, yes?

I need to look at the code for that some day (I don't really use the feature enough in the first place actually) and see if it suffers from the frameset issue I fixed in the SVN as well (and what I fixed doesn't fix AAP)

Thanks, miquelfire, I do hope you enjoy reading the code on that page.

Incidentally, I would appreciate it if you would change your forum name.

Why?

Well, as a retired volunteer fire chief, an emergency-response instructor, etc., I find the use of the word "fire" to be a bit, well, just a bit whatever....

I seen enough code on the page that I have an idea what to look for in PasswordMaker's code (I'm not really a Firefox Extension coder actually, so some code in the Firefox edition of PasswordMaker can confuse me at times, and at times, it's Eric's coding style)

Not sure if my last name is any better. It can create a simple sentence that can be just as bad as using the word fire.

Good; I hope you can figure out how to make PWM work on that page.

So, Eric, was "Example?" intended as an example of your coding style?

(Do NOT reply to this message: I just could not resist a bit of silliness....)

I'm just saying that because of how different our coding styles are, and I believe you said this was your first extension at some point, so some things related to the fact may have an effect as well.
