Title: Always bump version number
Post by: tanstaafl on January 04, 2006, 10:02:05 PM
Even with betas.

This isn't exactly a 'feature' request though...

It makes it very difficult to know which version is installed when the version number doesn't increment.

Thanks...

I can bump the version number in the About box for betas (and I generally do, unless I forget), but bumping the version number that is displayed by the Extension Manager:

isn't really a good idea because I haven't figured out a way to specify a version number here which means "hey extension manager, this is only a beta of the particular version... so keep checking for the final release." I'll ask around and see if anyone knows how to do this.

Sorry, should have been more clear... updating in the About box is all I really meant. When testing the betas, sometimes I forget if I have b1, b2, b3 or what...

Currently the 1.4b3 shows 1.33...

Thanks... :)
