Title: Feature requests
Post by: Felipe on January 14, 2006, 02:02:53 AM
Would you please add these (and add my votes) to the F.R.L., if they have not already been requested.

a.) Set a time-out to erase the master password in memory (RAM). E.g.: After (X) minutes, the password is forgotten/erased from memory (RAM)

b.) Set a hotkey to remove master password from memory (RAM). Or include it in Fx native ctrl + shift + del (remove private data hotkey) (or provide instructions to add it to extension "keyconfig")

c.) Include "Erase MasterPassword" or "Erase masterpassword from memory" in context (r.click) menu.

Terribly sorry if these have already been requested. I ran a search but didn't find them. Thanks.

Felipe

Excellent ideas, Felipe. The only one which has already been requested is (a). I'm sure Tyrantmizar will add  your vote to that one.

Tyrantmizar, can you also add "b" and "c" to the list? "c" is a "quickie" which I can get done rather quickly. "b" is quick if I make it a separate hotkey, but if I try to integrate it into cntrl-shit-del, it's going to take a little longer.

I vote for a.  This is important when you can't secure your computer.  Very nice to have that added insurance in case you forget to clear it manually.

Billybob, I think you need to post your votes to this thread (http://forums.passwordmaker.org/index.php?showtopic=167) because the moderators may not see it otherwise...
