Hi,
PasswordMaker 0.7.2 is available here (http://passwordmaker.org/installation.html). Hope you like it!

Eric,
I just installed 0.7.2 and it seems to work beautifully.
Thanks for another great improvement.
BTW, I do not know how everyone else feels about this, but I think it might be a good idea to collapse the group(s) by default, which might make it a little easier to manage the account settings. But that is just my preference.

P.S. I can't wait for 0.8. :)

Hi Romeo,
Thank you kindly for the reply. I was anxiously waiting for feedback :)

Yeah, sorry I didn't release that instead of 0.7.2, but I really need to do a lot more rigorous testing on it first. In the meanwhile, I thought I should get all the other bug fixes out the door...

Eric,
If you should need some help testing the next release or version, I would be honored to do testing for you.

Thanks, Romeo. That is generous of you. I'll let you know if I need help. If you really want to contribute, you could re-write the File->Help info! Let me know if you're interested.

Eric,
Which feature needs documenting? Let me know and I'll give it a whirl. But here is an idea. What if you created a sticky for a help section, where every section of the help section is a topic and registered users can add their suggestion on how to best document that section?

The whole help file needs to be updated. Here's what I have so far:
http://passwordmaker.org/work/help.xhtml (http://passwordmaker.org/work/help.xhtml)
This will be available in 3 places:- From PasswordMaker's Help->Help Contents menu
- Hyperlinked on the labels/text on the PasswordMaker extension itself (i.e., if you click Generated Password (which will appear in blue with a "hand' when mouse hovers), the help file opens to the revelant place describing what generated password is--this is called context-sensitive help)
- From the website directly
Romeo, if you work on this I'll donate money TO YOU! :) Of course, you'll be credited in PasswordMaker's Help->About and future instances of the product (java app, konfabulator, ie plugin, etc), AND we can put "Help By Romeo" (with your email address/website) at the top of the help screen.
I'm truly convinced the lack of good help is a barrier to getting more people to use PasswordMaker. The help file hasn't been updated since version 0.5.x, so it doesn't explain many features at all...

PasswordMaker 0.7.2 is available here. Hope you like it!
Hi Eric,
Just curious - any news on when/if the two problem algorithms will be fixed?
Thanks,
Charles

Someone hasn't been reading the release notes :)
The two problem algorithms, SHA-256 and RIPEMD-160, are fixed. SHA-256 was fixed in 0.7.1, and RIPEMD-160 was fixed in 0.7.2. There have also been new algorithms added - for a total of 10 now...

You might have stumbled on to something here.
I will take a look and see what I can do, as far as updating the help section is concerned. I've always enjoyed updating documentation [NOT :)]. But I'll see what I can do.

ack - guilty as charged, and really glad to hear they've been fixed!
Thanks
