Title: "Mask Generated Password with Asterisk" option is not stored
Post by: kleinesg on April 15, 2006, 07:50:34 AM
See above -- PasswordMaker does not store that option's setting. Whenever you close PasswordMaker and open it again, the generated password is shown in cleartext. I've experienced that Bug with PasswordMaker 1.5.1 both on Debian Stable and WinXP with Firefox 1.5.0.1 and 1.5.0.2.

Besides that it's a really nice tool. :-)

Kind regards

Jan

Same thing happens to me. I am using passwordmaker 1.5.1 and Firefox 1.5.0.3 and Mepis 3.4.3. I can set the program to mask the password then when using it it will unmask. I can reset it and it will unmask.. I have not really studied it to determine what particular action makes it do this or when. If I notice a pattern I will report it.
