Title: Another Two-Accounts Problem
Post by: John Liebson on October 16, 2009, 04:54:00 PM
I believe I finally solved this with my two PayPal accounts; not sure, as I've not used either one recently, which I ought to have tried before posting this.

I have two Bluehost accounts for someone whose web site I'm creating, one to get to the site editor, the other to get to his e-mail account. To do that requires that I have two PWM entries, as the log-ons are different. Both log-on setups work with PWM, but I've found that, at least when I'm logged on to the e-mail account, that PWM keeps showing the pop-up box for selecting which log-on to use, which is a nuisance that I've not figured out how to solve.

Suggestions as to how I might fix this are welcome (except those that tell me to go away...).

Is it showing this form after login, on the pages that comes later?

Yes, it is. Sorry, I probably ought to have made that clear (but there is an extra charge for that.)

When I pull up the bookmark and click on it, PWM provides the choice of which account to use, as it should. If I pick the e-mail log-on in PWM, that works correctly and logs me on to that part of Bluehost. It is then, after I start looking at the various e-mail pages, that PWM keeps showing me the two-account log-on box.

Any chance this is related to this bug (http://forums.passwordmaker.org/index.php/topic,1246) from 3 years ago?

Neither account has any Advanced Auto-populate entries.

Both log-on URLs start the same way; I just modified the log-on URL for the e-mail account, so that it is not the same as for the c-Panel log-on, and that had no effect.

The latter was http://login.bluehost.com/*, changed to http://login.bluehost.com/webmail/* --which did not help: As soon as I log on, the PWM box reappears, even though the Firefox URL box clearly shows the http://login.bluehost.com/webmail/* construct, and "webmail" does not appear in the c-Panel WMP URL setup. I wonder if this is perhaps caused by the URL box in FF not changing after I log on--but even then, as the URL shown has "webmail" in it, why is PWM looking at it as though "webmail" is not there?

I guess it's time to start yet another conspiracy site....

There's got to be a pattern that's matching that URL. Can you please post the patterns you're using for both accounts, as well as the URLs where the prompt appears?

Thanks,
Eric

cPanel URL, from my Firefox bookmark: http://login.bluehost.com/
cPanel PWM entry: http://login.bluehost.com/*

E-mail from FF: http://login.bluehost.com/webmail/bluehost/?login=1
E-mail from PWM (with the added "webmail" from a short while ago): http://login.bluehost.com/webmail/*

I just tried adding the entire E-mail URL to PWM, to no avail. (Not that it matters, but the "usual" way of logging on to Bluehost does not work for me; the URL's I'm using were given to me by their technical support, and they evidently are well aware that some users need to use these URLs, rather than a simple www.bluehost.com.

Should I assume that the lack of any further feedback is an indication of  a lack of any further information?
