Title: Tool Tip Problem in "Hash Algorithm" field
Post by: MikeH on July 18, 2005, 04:02:47 PM
It appears that the Tool Tip that is displayed when hovering over an entry in the "Hash Algorithm" drop down box is set to whatever tool tip was previously displayed.

Using FireFox 0.7 plugin.

1) Under "Accounts" tab
2) Select "Settings"
3) Hover mouse over some item that displays a tool tip (i.e. "Use l33t") until the tool tip is displayed.
4) Quickly click in the "Hash Algorithm" drop down box (before the tool tip is displayed).
5) Now the tool tip that is displayed for each item in the drop down list is the same tool tip as whatever was shown in 3) above.

Hi Mike,

Yeah, this is a known bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147670) in the XP Toolkit (the GUI widgets that Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Thunderbird, etc. all use).

Thanks for reporting it to me, but there's nothing I can do. I imagine this will be fixed with Firefox 1.1.

Regards,
Eric
