Bug found?
« on: August 31, 2005, 11:23:43 PM »
I upgraded from Mozilla 1.7.b to 1.7.11.
I downloaded Password maker 0.7.3 which I installed.

When I opened Mozilla, I had instead of the normal one row of icons next to the address bar, I now have 4 rows of exactly the same last 4 icons.

Not sure why, nor how to get rid of it?
worst case, how do I get rid of the application (password maker)?

Many thanks

Moved to the Bugs Forum: here

Sorry it took so long to make note of this.  The power went out (probably because of Katrina)

[edit]That's funny.  I posted this to the topic in the Feature Requests forum to make a note, and it created a duplicate topic in the bugs forums.  Weird.

Delete this topic if you want.

I can confirm that PM 0.7.3 works fine with Mozilla Suite 1.7.11

edit: Oops... Just saw that switching themes solved this problem... fyi, i have seen the reported result when i have experiemented with modifying extensions though

As a personal tip, I find it's just easier to always backup the profile before installing a new extension.

Here is some information on uninstalling extensions here

I added a FAQ question and answer today here (towards the bottom) which explains how to uninstall PasswordMaker for Mozilla and Netscape. All you must do is delete two files and one directory. That's a lot simpler than the link trephin gave (this one), although thanks for helping him, trephin! (FWIW, I've contributed articles to the MozillaZine Knowledge Base. In general, I like content but I think this one is overly complex).

Regards,
Eric
