New Install of Seamonkey
« on: March 26, 2008, 09:19:28 PM »
Hi there

I'm about to install a new version of Seamonkey ( ver 1.1.9 ) over 1.1.8.
I have PWM installed in the default profile folder.
Is there any danger that I will lose my PWM extension and settings during installation?

Thanks

The only danger I can see is if PWM was locked to 1.1.8 for the max version of Seamonkey that it could be installed on (because of AMO), but if it is, then your settings will not be lost anyway.

If you want to play it safe, make a copy of foxyproxy.xml. That's got all settings. If you lose everything else except that one file, you can recover with no difficulties.

Wrong extension there (though he may have that installed too). It's the passwordmaker.rdf he wants to backup actually.
