They should be now

Yep, everything seems to be fine - although I see occasional posts with some quoting weirdness. Not a lot, and I've been fixing them as I see them...

Is there any way to say "Subscribe me to all threads, new and old" maybe even with a SQL insert? I'm finding there are some threads to which I'm subscribed and some I'm not. I don't get subscribed to new ones that I create automatically, but that's a separate issue.

I'll try to poke around the code to see if there's something like that (or a module)
"I'm not drunk, just sleep deprived."

Did you set your preference in 'Profile' > 'Notifications and Email'?

I had to go in to each forum and set notification for it for new posts, but it only took about 3 minutes...

No, I hadn't done that. I've done it now... thanks. I still don't have subscriptions for all existing threads, though.

This is one of them things that I need to do testing on to make sure I don't goof something up before I do it.

Did you go into each forum, then click the 'Notify' button?

In your 'Profile' > 'Notifications and Email', at the bottom, in the ''Current Board Notifications' section, you want to see every forum listed there.

For any that are not listed, just go to that forum and click the 'Notify' button to add it to the 'watched' list...

I'm thinking that this means that you'll get modified of any posts, new or reply's, to any of these forums (making the individual 'Topic Notifications' kind of redundant)... but I'm not certain that is how it works...

It's just the new topics, not replies. I don't use this feature of forums myself actually.

Yes, I did that when the SMF forums were first installed. Miquel is right, it's only for new posts...not replies to existing posts.

How can we get rid of the "News: SMF - Just Installed!" notice at the top of every page? SMF was not just installed!

Done - I replaced it with the announcement of the new Beta version...

In the future you can manage these by logging in, clicking 'Admin', then under the first section (Main), click 'News and Newsletters' to add new announcements, edit existing ones, and delete old ones...
