Title: Ability to edit the URL
Post by: Robert on June 07, 2005, 07:37:58 PM
You should have the ability to edit the URL that is used in password generation. This is particularly important in how gmail.com works. Before you sign in to Gmail, it's www.google.com, and after you're signed in, it's gmail.google.com. I was almost locked out because I had set my password to use gmail.google.com, and with no way to edit the URL that's used, I couldn't get in.

Hi Robert,
You can edit the URL that is used in password generation. Here's how:

1. Go to Advanced Options
2. Create a new account
3. Where it says When URL Contains type: google.com
4. Where it says Use This URL type: google.com

That's it.

Now "google.com" will be used for any URL that has google.com in it (e.g., www.google.com, gmail.google.com, foobar.google.com).
